  1. Hi; I have a question about AWP. You’re listed as hosting a meeting as follows:
    AWP Program Directors’ Northeast Council
    Thursday, 10:30–11:45 a.m.
Room 207A, Washington Convention Center, Level Two
If you are a program director or co-director of an AWP member creative writing program in the following regions, you should attend this session: Connecticut, Labrador, Massachusetts, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Europe. Your regional representative on the AWP Board of Trustees, January Gill O’Neal, will conduct this meeting.

I’m Director of a Program in Maine, University of Maine at Farmington BFA. I’m sure Maine was inadvertently left off . . . can I come? Thank you!

    Pat O’Donnell

    • Pat, I’m Mid-Atlantic–Northeast is January O’Neil. But you are absolutely welcome! I’ll alert people to Maine being left off the list because, of course, you’re right that it’s your region.

"This work is unlike any other, in its range of rich, conjuring imagery and its dexterity, its smart voice. Carroll-Hackett doesn’t spare us—but doesn’t save us—she draws a blueprint of power and class with her unflinching pivot: matter-of-fact and tender." —Jan Beatty
